I read only *parts* of the *spoiler free* section (was too afraid to see something too revealing :)) and then skipped the comments until here...

Good looking site, and thanks for this movie tip. Gonna watch it.

Can I suggest that you move the last paragraph of your spoilers section into the conclusion so that people can skip the spoilers and still find out what you thought about the movie? (like I tried to, and when I couldn't find your opinion I tentatively read the last paragraph of the spoliers section).

Yeah - I realized when I was done that they weren't quite spoilers, but I didn't want to weaken the warning just in case.

They touch on almost all of Rorschach's story in there, though they don't explore it as deeply, and the psychiatrist stuff is sadly truncated. For me, he's pretty much the most interesting character in the movie. I guess I'd say that about the book for the most part, too - although I like Ozzy a lot in the comic, as well. Possibly because of my egomania and god complex.

Awesome. Unlike many others, I like reading spoilers. But I mean.. I've read the comic, I know what happens... and these aren't really spoilers, anyway. They're focused thoughts with knowledge of the plot. It's hard to discuss how something is made without discussing how the elements of the plot are handled.

Aaaanyway - nice thoughtful look at this. I am more excited to see the movie now than before - and I know to warn the wife that the graphic parts of the comic will be graphic parts of the movie.

How much do they get into Rorschach's back story?

That would be very cool, thanks!

Although violence doesn't fill a huge amount of the movie's length, the violence that there is is really graphic - some people get 'esploded, someone's arms get sawed off, things like that. I think it's important to the comic and movie that it happens - so it isn't gratuitous - but it's damn sure graphic.

The real question for me is: could I see it? ;) Sounds like it wasn't too violent, and not even too depressing. Also, I need to get you a copy of the show "No Heroics". It's a British comedy about super heroes living in the "real" world. Quite good.
