   I had a problem where I obtained a new hero, added her to my council, and then the selection highlighting was off by 1 and the new hero never appeared on the hero-selection area of the screen (bottom).

   I was able to continue for a little while just knowing that when I selected a hero, the hero to the left was highlighted.

   Yeah, it does some strange things when you add heroes. If you get the event that adds Kaisa, it doesn't actually add her to the council, and if you try to promote her to hero, it does the same weird shifting thing, but doesn't add her to the line of heroes at the bottom of the screen. She can have children, and sometimes there's a message saying she spent the turn resting in the city, but you can't do anything else with her.

   Aye, I had the same basic issues with this. Also, from what I could see, she had no stats, likely due to a lack of class.

   I have had problems using her, and when I attempted to Rule with her the game crashed with an 'EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION' prompt.

   OK, so if one of the heroes is already dead Kaisa's portrait shows up. But if you attempt to rule with anyone but the original three heroes, it crashes.

   I've had the same experience. If I attempted to explore with Kaisa, I get the same violation error.

   All of the new hero issues should be fixed in the next update. Adding Kaisa (or whomever) shouldn't push Leila out of the council and screw up the highlights. Also, doing actions with a new hero should no longer crash.
