I'm not sure if this has been brought up yet (I did a quick search), but once a person dies, you can continue to upgrade their traits. Granted, this isn't game breaking but it still probably shouldn't be.

Whitney's fixed this one.
Additionally, she's adjusted the code so that, from here on out, all dogs go to heaven.
Grats, magadog! But what about bears?
